Jellycat Bunch storm Talent Show

MARISSA, SABRINA AND CLAIRE swept to a remarkable victory in the Toyland Summer Fete Talent Contest today, being commended by the judges for an 'original, inventive and witty' performance.

The Jellycat Bunch performed a series of sketches making parody of everyday life in Boston and Smallvania. In one particularly memorable sketch, Marissa pretended to be Chris Steakface hiding from his notoriously bossy wife, new Bostonian policewoman Spurry, played by Claire McKuchen. Sabrina played a stern-faced newsreader.

The judges were King Cheeky, Ryan Atwood and the Fete sponsor, Barry Bramble of Bramble Enterprises Inc. They gave second place to Ducky Mallard, who impressed the audience by singing a solo of 'Happy Birthday' in the style of Marilyn Monroe.

Marissa proudly presented her prize: 'I chose a family day out to the Back Garden Safari, to see lots of bugs, bees and guinea pigs!'. Her little sister Kaitlin, 9, looked on beaming.

Other highlights of the Summer Fete, which took place mostly in Sunnydale Juniors school hall due to the rain, were Mrs Mouse's Cake Sale and a pony ride on Shortbread, run by her owner Nazzy Star. Mrs Mouse even refrained from sq***king in front of the children.

Proceeds will go to The Smallvanian Orphanage trust fund.

Ducky is four years old.
