Spurry returns from hairdressers with broken hook hairstyle

Spurry Steakface stunned Toyland residents this week by finally following through with her promise to have her 'hook' cut into a 'broken hook' hairstyle.

'It fits perfectly with the completed redecoration of Toyland - and now Spurry's children have moved out, she's discovering a new her,' said the famous Polly Pocket Hair Salon.

Other commentators were less convinced: 'Spurry's new locks hardly make her look younger. The botched operation clearly cut in the wrong place, ' said gossip rag the Toytown Star.

Miss Gonzales class get Secret Santa allocations

SUNNYDALE HIGH PUPILS were pleased this morning to be presented with a festive hat of names. Each person chose a name at random out of the hat and will buy a present for that person before the end-of-term assembly on 21 December.

The Toyland Express cannot reveal which pupil got who, of course, but excitement was visible on the faces of some toys more than others.

'Oh I'm so pleased I got this person!!' said Jimothy Bandersnatch, 11, bouncing up and down. 'She'll definitely like me after I get her the perfect present!'

'Oh drat,' wailed Kaitlin Cooper, on the other hand. 'I really do not know what to get for this person. Boys are so hard to buy for!... Not that it's necessarily a boy.'

Rachel Bumpkin was heard asking the teacher: 'Um, does this person still go to Sunnydale after the big redecoration?' Miss Gonzales was then seen quickly taking Harry Atwood's name out of the hat.

Michael Buble to switch on Toyland Christmas lights

WITH THE MAIN PHASE OF THE GREAT REDECORATION FINALLY OVER, toys gathered this evening around their fireplaces to hear that over the next few days, Emily would be decorating Toyland as usual with its trademark coloured fairy lights.

Chris Steakface was especially excited to hear that they would be turned on by the famous singer Michael Buble, who has just released a Christmas album.

'Michael Buble is coming to Toyland!' said Chris, owner of a Smallvanian steakhouse restaurant.

Other toys were looking forward to Christmas for different reasons. Putting up the Jellycat Christmas tree, Marissa Cooper was anxious that the house's green and red stockings wouldn't go missing.

'Um, Sabrina, you can have the green one...', she commented, hanging up a red stocking on a drawing pin, using its Christmas decoration style loop.

The most popular Christmas gifts in Boston and Smallvania this year look set to be dressing tables, iTunes vouchers and ski clothes. Less popular are traditional favourite such as dolls houses, small toys and Lego bricks.
