SUNNYDALE HIGH celebrated the end of its term tonight in its annual star-studded awards ceremony. Collecting prizes were Stella Nightingale, S Nightingale and "Princess" Stella.
Presiding over the night was headmaster of the school, hedgehog Professor Gloves, M.A.(Univ. of Sunnydale).
"We have seen a great year here at Sunnydale High," announced the blue-nosed borderline small toy. "And Juniors! Though sadly it is past the Juniors' bedtime so they can't be with us tonight."
The Sunnydale Amateur Dramatics Society ("SADS") then gave an encore performance of the title track from the hit Toyish musical "Olivia!", which Sunnydale pupils recreated earlier in the year. The musical tells the story of an orphaned pink poodle toy, notorious for being shabby and dirty after years of mistreatment as a child being used to sweep the floor.
"Don't call us SADS!", commented one performer.
After the SADS performance was over, the award presentations began. The awards were presented Oscars style, with no-one knowing who won until announced by a series of "guest hosts".
The big winner of the night was Stella Nightingale, who won Best Pupil, Nicest Personality and Best Hair. She also won a prize for winning the most awards.
One surprise winner of the night was Jimothy Bandersnatch, who won Cleverest Pupil.
"Why's that a surprise?" he commented, saying it would be the lead story in the next edition of the school paper, which Bandersnatch edits.
Miriam "Mitzi" Bumpkin received a prize for "Best Effort by a Burrowing Woodland Creature".
Other awards might have been won by other toys in other years other than Year 8.
